Danielle Ward is a native of Clinton, MD. Over the 17 years of her dance career, Danielle has extensively trained in classical ballet, contemporary jazz, musical theater, Modern (Horton), Hip Hop, West African dance and gymnastics. She competed for many years with Center Stage Dance Studio and received various team and solo titles. Educated in the Archdiocese of Washington at Bishop McNamara High School, she concentrated in the lyrical jazz and West African dance. While there she also became a student choreographer, playing vital artistic role in her Junior and Senior recitals, being names Dancer of the Year by The American Dance Association upon graduation and inducted as senior member of the Sankofa West African Dance Troupe, & Afromoda Dance Company.

Danielle attended Frostburg State University, majoring in psychology and minoring in dance. As a member of the FSU Dance Company, Danielle was a student choreographer for all four years, and was a founding member and choreographer for the FSU Epitome Hip Hop Dance Team for three years. Danielle is also a graduate of the prestigious Broadway Dance Center internship program (New York City). Concentrating in contemporary jazz and hip hop, she trained & performed under some of the industry’s top choreographer in the world including Tyce Diorio (So You Think You Can Dance), Brice Mousset ( Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show ), Luam ( Alicia Keys), Rhapsody James ( Beyonce “Get Me Bodied”), and Sheryl Murakami (Beyonce “Ego”). While at BDC, Danielle performed her original choreography for the BDC winter and spring showcases, and the CARNIVAL choreographers ball. Danielle remains a member of the Afromoda Dance Company, performing in special appearances. She is also a guest teacher at Bishop McNamra High School and guest choreograoher for both their Spring Festibals and Sankofa African Dance Theater. Danielle also teaches gymnastic technique, form and tumbling in the Washington, D.C. area.
